Changing faces Posted on 8 Sep 2011

Back to News

There have been a number of recent additions and departures at the surgery, and soon we warmly welcome back a familiar face!

We thank Dr Jacques for all her help over the six months she was with us.  She has moved to another surgery to complete her GP training.  We are very happy to have Dr Racheal Keys with us till February 2012 and Dr Ruth Penfold for a year.  Both are qualified doctors in their latter years of GP training and have worked at our local hospital. We do hope you help them settle in.

Helen Smith, our Nurse Practitioner and Specialist Nurse in Diabetes left us two months ago but will be returning to provide ongoing support to our diabetics.  Though we were sorry to loose her as a full time nurse, we are very happy she has agree to help out with our diabetic patients.  She is a very well respected member of staff and we are glad to have her coming back.  Replacing her full time duties, Kim Barrington-Hines has joined the surgery as of last month.  Kim has relocated from Grimsby, where she was working as a Nurse Practitioner in a similar sized surgery.

Racheal, our phlebotomist also left last month, moving to a surery closer to her home (elsehwhere in the county).  Karen Boulton has joined the surgery. Karen has worked as a phlebotomist for many years and has eased into the role with no problems.

Hopefully there will be little change for a while now, though the training doctors usually change roles every February or August.
